About Nobilia

Nobilia kitchens in Stockton-on-Tees

Nobilia is Germany’s leading kitchen brand by volume, and for a lot of North East homeowners it is the sensible way into a German kitchen: rigid, factory-built cabinetry and German hardware at a price that does not require a remortgage. We have designed and installed them from our Stockton-on-Tees studio since 2008, for customers across Teesside, Middlesbrough, Yarm, Darlington and the wider North East. The same cabinetry runs beyond the kitchen too: one of the projects on our media walls page is a Nobilia TV area in sand and taupe, carrying the same ceramic worktops as the kitchen beside it. What a Nobilia kitchen costs

We publish price bands rather than making you ask three times. Nobilia projects typically start from around £15,000 — installed, with VAT included. That is the whole job: cabinetry, worktops, installation and project management, not a supply-only figure with the fitting added later.

It is an entry point, not a ceiling. A larger room, tall cabinetry, stone worktops or a serious appliance package will move a Nobilia kitchen well beyond that figure — at which point it is worth looking at Schüller too, because the two ranges overlap more than people expect. Our full breakdown of what drives the number is in the guide to German kitchen prices in the UK.

What you get for that

The things that make a German kitchen last are mostly invisible on a showroom floor until you go looking for them:

  • Rigid, factory-built carcasses — assembled and squared in the factory, not flat-packed and screwed together in your kitchen.
  • Precision hardware — hinges and runners that still close properly after a decade of family use.
  • Hard-wearing surfaces chosen to survive daily life rather than photograph well once.
  • Considered storage — pull-outs, internal drawers and corner solutions that make a modest kitchen work like a bigger one.

Design range

Nobilia’s range runs from flat, handleless modern fronts through to warmer, textured and classic looks, with a wide choice of colours and materials. In practice that means the brand is rarely the thing that limits a design — the room usually is, and that is what the design consultation is for.

The warranty

Every Nobilia kitchen carries a five-year manufacturer’s warranty — the same cover as the other two German brands we hold. Beyond that period we will always do our best to repair anything that goes wrong. That is a description of how we work rather than a contractual guarantee, and we would rather be straight about the difference.

See Nobilia beside Schüller and next125

Comparing German kitchen brands from brochures is close to useless — they all photograph beautifully. Haus of Design is the only kitchen studio in the North East where you can compare Schüller, next125 and Nobilia side by side in one showroom. Fifteen minutes opening drawers usually tells you more than a fortnight of research, and it is the quickest way to find out whether the extra spend on another range is worth it to you — or whether Nobilia already does everything you need.

We are an independent studio, not a single-brand franchise, so we have no reason to steer you toward one badge. Read how the three compare side by side, or come and see them at 15 Portrack Grange Road, Stockton-on-Tees, TS18 2PH — Monday to Saturday, 09:00–17:00. Details on the showroom.

How the job runs

We survey, design, supply, install and project-manage with our own team, so there is one point of responsibility from first sketch to final snag rather than a supplier and a fitter blaming each other. Lead times depend on the specification, and we confirm yours in writing at quotation stage rather than guessing at it here.

Nobilia questions, answered

How much does a Nobilia kitchen cost?

Nobilia projects typically start from around £15,000, installed and including VAT. Room size, tall cabinetry, worktop material and appliances move it upward from there.

Is Nobilia as good as the more expensive German brands?

It is built to the same basic principles — rigid factory-built cabinets and German hardware. The differences show up in finish options, detailing and the top end of the specification, which is exactly what comparing all three in person makes obvious.

What warranty comes with a Nobilia kitchen?

A five-year manufacturer’s warranty. Beyond that we will always do our best to repair anything that goes wrong.

How long does a Nobilia kitchen take?

Lead times vary with specification, so we confirm yours in writing when we quote rather than quoting an average that may not apply to your kitchen.

Do you supply Nobilia only, or install as well?

Both, end to end — survey, design, supply, installation and project management by our own team.

Can I see a Nobilia kitchen before deciding?

Yes — it is on the showroom floor alongside Schüller and next125 at 15 Portrack Grange Road, Stockton-on-Tees, TS18 2PH, Monday to Saturday 09:00–17:00. Book a free design consultation or call 01642 635635.

Are Nobilia kitchens good quality?

Yes — built to the same basic principles as the dearer German brands: rigid factory-built carcasses rather than flat-pack, German hardware, and hard-wearing surfaces. It carries the same five-year manufacturer’s warranty as Schüller and next125. The differences between the three show up in finish options and the top end of the specification, not in how the boxes are made.

Are Nobilia kitchens expensive?

Nobilia is the most accessible of the three German brands we hold — projects typically start from around £15,000 installed, VAT included. That is an entry point rather than a ceiling: a larger room, tall cabinetry or stone worktops move it up, at which point it is worth comparing against Schüller at £25,000–£45,000.
